Communication of the objectives and goals

Once the strategy has been formulated, the strategic plan is signed off and

strategic objectives and goals are defined, the next step is to communicate

the strategy to all employees spread across departments in multiple regions.

Communication of the organisation strategy is critical to make sure that all

employees buy into the organisation strategy and become part of the jour-

ney to achieve common goals.

The following are high-level steps to establish a successful communica-

tion plan for a strategy:

• Set up a marketing plan to communicate the organisation’s strategy

internally and externally. External communication needs to be con-

cise and on a need-to-know basis (not to disclose everything) to make

sure that competitors do not get to know all the details about the

organisation’s plans.

• Create a digital version of the strategy to make it simple and easy for

all employees to understand the vision, mission, objectives and goals

of the organisation.

• Set up multiple townhalls and interactive sessions to go through the

strategy with all employees globally.

• Create mandatory training for all employees to go through the

strategy.

• Make sure to train all senior management about the strategic goals of

the organisation.

• Make sure that all objectives of employees are contributing to the

strategic goals.

Create strategic and transformational

programmes aligned to the strategic plan

To execute the strategy, an organisation needs to set up multiple strate-
